The Risky Behaviour Lab

The Risky Behaviour Lab is a research lab aimed at understanding when and why people deliberately engage in behaviours that are physically harmful to themselves.

Research Assistant (2022) & Research Project Manager (2023 - 2024)

Contributions and responsabilities:

  • Managed and lead research team in conducting remote, longitudinal study across North America investigating the effect of smell loss on social and mental health​

    • Study title: The Impact of Olfactory Ability on Social and Mental Health​

  • Assisted with research related to suicidal and self-harming behaviours​​

The Christie Laboratory

The Christie Lab studies a variety of forms of neuroplasticity, including synaptic plasticity, metaplasticity, and neurogenesis, to better understand both the intrinsic processing capacities of the brain, how it responds to injury, and it’s capacity for self-repair.

  • Assisted with research aimed at improving cognitive rehabilitation following an acquired brain injury through the application of NeuroTracker

Vancouver Island Health Authority

Island Health's purpose includes innovation, teaching and research. The Research & Capacity Building department supports research across the region to improve health and promote wellness in our communities.

  • Assisted with research porject pertaining to integration of mindfulness with sensory regulation to improve instrumental activities of daily living for clients with post concussion/central sensitization​​
